Paradise Flow Yoga Retreat

In Koh Tao,Thailand with Florence & Nova

23rd-30th December 2010 from only £520 with your own Cottage

About Us;

Florence and Sam have been practising yoga and meditation since the early 80s and teaching full time in London for more then 40 years combined. Both mother and daughter have acquired the Yoga Alliance Advanced qualifications through extensive training with a wide range of teachers internationally. Their teaching styles are inspired by the breath-synchronised dance of Vinyasa combined with the flow of prana and the sensitivity and softness of gentler approaches like yin and restorative yoga.

About the Retreat;

On on this retreat, the morning sessions start with gentle stretching and pranayama (breathing exercises) building gradually into a strong dynamic flow practice, suitable for all levels of ability. The more gentle evening sessions focus on relaxation and release, promoting harmony, healthy immune functioning and improving overall vitality.

Where we're staying;

We will be taking advanage of Sam's knowledge of the island, as she used to run her own yoga studio here. This retreat is being held at one Thailands most exclusive island resorts with its own private beach and flower gardens. The cottages we will be staying at are set into the hillside and designed by a Thai architect, and are creatively fitted throughout with original thai art, craft and furniture. Fine buffed hardwood floors, Open ceiling 'jungle' showers, and spacious balconies with spectacual views of Buddha Rock. Classic wooden pillars and grass roofs top off these charming forest cottages. All cottages have double beds (so no need to rough it by sharing, unless you want too!), fans, and all have their own bathrooms. Down at the waters edge, you'll find a lovely little restaurant. It stands high on stilts and puts you right over the water

How to get there?

Well, this is not The Beach, even though Koh Tao looks nearly as gorgeous, so getting there is easier than it might seem.
Plenty of travel agents in Bangkok, mainly in Khao San road and around the railway station Hua Lamphong, provide bus or train and boat tickets.
Best to look out for offices offering the free "Koh Tao Info", they will offer the best services.
However, for travelers it is also fairly easy to reach the Turtle on their own.
Starting from Bangkok, you can catch a train or bus to Chumphon, traveling time is about 6-10 hours, usually at night time. There you have several kinds of boat services, leaving mostly in the morning, connecting you with the island in about 1½ to 2 hours.
Coming from Hat Yai or Phuket, you could also decide to go to Suratthani instead and reach Koh Tao via Samui or Phangan.
There are also airports in Chumphon, Suratthani and Samui, a domestic flight from Bangkok is about 1½ hours,
straight from your home town to paradise.
